Waters Rhone is a songwriter from Austin, Texas and one half of Rhone Scott a songwriting partnership with Danny Scott. Waters has placed multiple songs with other artists on CD releases and film since 1996. The songs here represent Waters penchant for jazz with clever lyrical themes and content spanning a broad range of styles from country to torch and swing.

"Mars Needs Women", a song about a jazz-alien kidnapping out of a beatnik bar in 1955, is a prime example. Movie-like in it's scope, Waters has written eighteen sequels to this song, moving the story from L.A. to New Orleans and back along Route 66 through the years 1955 - 1959. Heartbreak Highway, co-written with Danny Scott and listed here, is the seventh song in this series.

"Angels of Our Better Nature" is a torch song about romantic redemption and heartbreaking loss. A prime example of the lyrical and musical diversity Waters brings to the compositional pallette.
