utterance has been tearing up the Puget Sound area with their musicianship and high-intensity live performances. Representing the 'nu' style in metal they fuse together heavy metal, alternative rock, rap, and electronica. Tracy Beardsley, the band's guitarist, claims, "If they like it they can call us hard core new school polka, as long as they like it. If they don't like it we don't care what they call us. However they want to label us is fine." The final result is an arsenal of well composed and easily-consumable metal songs with an emphasis on heaviness and groove. "We're moody and our music is moody and we affect people," comments the band's drummer, Jerod Wallace, in regards to their music. The local audiences have been very receptive to the band starting from their first performances in March of 2000. "We've given them a good opportunity to enjoy themselves," says Tracy. The local audiences have enjoyed the band and their numbers have grown steadily.
