Bio

Steve hails from Oregon, and began his musical career learning the alto saxophone, in 1992.  Progressing through school band (concert, and marching), Steve picked up a pair of turntables at the age of fifteen, then began playing night clubs, something he still does today.  With a niche for electronic music, he began to study Cubase, and Ableton.
Continuing to want to learn about different forms of music, Steve started to study classical works by such composers as Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Stravinsky, Tchaikovsky, Mahler, Gershwin, Debussy, and Bernstein (amongst countless others).  Steve has always found the violin to be his favorite sound when it comes to instrumentation.  Though he has never played one, he plans to begin learning how to play beginning in the summer of 2018.  Understanding that nearly every instrument can now be found within any number of sample libraries, through various MIDI providers, Steve looked at becoming more familiar with the MIDI keyboard workstation.
In the fall of 2015, Steve began taking classes at Full Sail University to receive his Bachelors of Science in Music Production.  Looking to graduate in 2018, Steve has been learning several new software programs such as Sibelius, Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, and even furthering his knowledge of Ableton Live.  The MIDI keyboard is the weapon of choice in today's home studio, and Full Sail has laid out a solid foundation on which Steve is working with daily, in order to become better at his piano skills.  While studying at Full Sail, Steve has been looking to enter the field of film scoring.  With a passion for film, Steve has been following composers for film from the past, and into the present in order to constantly learn the tricks of the trade.  He has made it a priority to meet the future filmmakers via social networking.  Some of the artists that Steve has studied work from include Bernard Herrmann, Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, James Horner, Howard Shore, and John Williams (to name a few).
In the Fall of 2017, Steve began learning to play rhythm guitar through private lessons, hoping to add to his understanding of what each instrument can accomplish.  He believes that knowing each instrument's limitations is one of the biggest parts of producing great music.  As a financial contributor to the production of the new hit film, "Score (A Film Music Documentary)", Steve also believes that there are no rules when it comes to music production.  No limits to what your mind can create.  Keep up with the latest news and works by following Steve on all your favorite social media websites.
