Rob, Congratulations on your placement of "After This" I was wondering if you could share some contract details? Being new I am wonder what to expect and ask for when I get my first placement here on broadjam. I write a lot of instrumentals and feel I have a good chance of getting my songs placed.

Thank you and continued success with your music
Best regards,

Hi David. Thanks for the kind words. That particular cut came through a Broadjam opportunity. It was through a msic catalog company called "Song Catalog" in Vancouver. They licensed the track "After This" pre-cleared music for the Lifestyle Network in the Phillipines. Thehaaht to ask for is pretty much pre-determined via the licensing opportunities. You just have to read the opportunity thoroughly. What i have found on Broadjam is that they find opportunities from different pitch lists then post it. It may seem like a bad thing but it isn't. They (to me) save me the aggravation of reading through all the lead sheets that come out for TV/Film. I use the for my website and submit to the occasional opportunity.

My best wishes for your music and success.

Rob

Rob - listened to Phoenix , very cool song.! I'm assuming you list the time breaks in the song for
possible placements in film. Do you think that helps you get your songs licensed? Great song.
