Patty Tuite has been singing and playing guitar since 1978. She started out learning folk/pop songs. In the early '90's, she began to go to blues open-mike sessions and developed a stronger, more bluesy voice to accompany the changes in her guitar style. Influenced by artists such a Bonnie Raitt, Etta James, and Koko Taylor, Patty learned how to play slide guitar and began to write her own material. In 1997, she recorded her first CD, "Live at the Tic Toc", which include 7 blues standards and 5 originals. In 1998 she formed her own band, "The Patty Tuite Band", and released a second CD in 2001 called "Girls Night Out". This CD was composed entirely of the band members' original songs. The band started recording a third CD in 2005, which had more diversity in styles (jazz, blues, folk) but in the midst of recording the band broke up. Most of the material has been completed since then. Some of the songs listed here are from rehearsals. Patty continues to play in various bands in CT.

Thank you for the terrific review of Let the Blues Begin. I'm going to adjust the mix

Hi Patty, many many thanks for your incredibly kind review of "Can You Be True," I'm very grateful for your kind words. I also really appreciated your wonderful comments re vocals (that's Carla Cook on vocals, I'm a nonperforming songwriter), and the two singers you mentioned gave me some great ideas so again, thanks!! Looking forward to hearing more of your music, I listened to a couple of the songs and liked them, and your voice, a lot. All best wishes...

Yo Patty,
Thanks for your review of "Don't You Wish" Larry and Phil do a super job with those tight harmonies. That is a fairly old recording and your comment on the mix is noted. There is a bass in there, somewhere, I'll have to look into maybe a remix. Really liked your "All I Got is Time" Great feel, vocals and guitar work. Keep up the fantastic work and keep listening.
Thanks again,
JD Carroll
