Michael Maier is a singer/songwriter and music director performing weekly. He is fluent on guitar and concert harp. His experiences range from rock to classical to spiritual to jazz. Early in his career the band he was leading was invited by a major label to California to record an album. While this deal didn't get inked, a publishing contract soon followed.
While continuing to write, he shifted gears to concentrate on a music degree. Michael was awarded a scholarship to play concert harp with the orchestra and soon became stage manager. He soon recorded another demo and by 1998 one of his songs was being considered for a film in Hollywood.
Michael lives his songs, as evidenced by the song Her Room, which leapt out of his experience with his girlfriend, Patricia. He is a dynamic songwriter and performer influenced by many styles. All this has led him to be a songwriter who is direct and self-assured yet warm and sensitive. Sometimes abstract, sometimes rooted his songs speak of
