Michael John Ahern (MJ) is a founding member, principal songwriter and Musical Director of the San Francisco Bay Area Country Rock band known as the Little Wheels Band. MJ has credit on sixteen commercial projects and has shared the stage with Toad the Wet Sprocket, Sara Evans,Tab Benoit, Railroad Earth, Alan Holdsworth, Bob Weir, Steve Smith, and Mickey Hart. In October of 2004 the LWB opened the 64th Grand National Rodeo with The Charlie Daniels Band. Michael has performed at both the 2003 and 2004 Jerry Garcia Day Celebrations in San Francisco. Michael has written and produced seven Cds including his recent Nine Lives with the Little Wheels Band and the LWB debut CD. Michael’s song “She’s the One” (Nine Lives and LWB debut) is currently set to air on the on 550 radio stations in 26 countries April 2005. Michael is a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARIS), A.S.C.A.P., TAXI and contracts as a studio engineer and producer in San Francisco, CA.
