Hailing from the Brew City, Micah has been an active performer in the regional music scenes for the last five years. His diverse songwriting mixes elements of folk, funk, rock, and world music into a distinct sound that will leave your head bobbing and your toes tapping. Drawing on influences from Paul Simon to the Talking Heads, Micah and his band the Hype Machine have been gaining a steady following in the Midwest scene. They've played packed shows at venues such as Shank Hall, The Annex, and The Miramar Theater. They have also attracted many new fans over the past few summers at the Locust St Festival and Harley's 105th Anniversary. This past summer they made their Summerfest debut, with three appearances throughout the festival.

He and his band also attracted many new fans over the past summer at the Locust St Festival and Harley's 105th Anniversary.

Micah's debut album Giant Sized Life has received airplay on Milwaukee radio stations102.1, 88.9, and 9.1.7. He was a guest on the Kramp and Adler morning show (102.1) to talk about the band and the album.

Micah just release his second album, Off Beat Clappers and Hip Toe Tappers with the help of producer, Bob Westfall.

His live band features Dave Ritter (bass) Tim Reck (drums, harmony vocals, and guitar) and Anthony Ramirez (congas, bongos, and auxiliary percussion). At a show you can expect to hear Micah's original tunes as well as his band's take on crowd-pleasing favorites by Radiohead, the Gorillaz, the Talking Heads, Andrew Bird, Ben Harper, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Dispatch, and more.
