Matt Gawlik is a singer/songwriter living in Simpsonville, South Carolina. A born and bred Texas Boy, Matt packed his truck, dog, and trusty Taylor 310 and moved with his then fiance, now wife Kristin to the beautiful upstate of South Carolina. Matt writes songs about life, love, and all of the above.

"I draw upon personal experience for a great many of my songs, but I also try and leave no stone unturned when it comes to inspiration. The move to South Carolina has provided me with a new perspective on family and friends and an appreciation for the important things in life."

Matt has been playing the guitar for almost 20 years and has found music to be his touchstone. No matter what life has thrown his way, music has always helped him pull through.

"I jokingly refer to my guitar as my six-string therapist. Music has always been there for me. Sometimes a single chord or passage can bring a smile to my face in the greatest storm of heartache."
