Musical Biography

Hey Hey Delilah / Luke Parker

The band "Hey Hey Delilah" had it's conception in September 2005, where lead
singer and founding member, Luke Parker began a recording project at
Bohemian Sound Studio, Spearwood, Perth-Western Australia.

"In it's initial stages, my idea was to record some demos and see where we'd
go from there. I had no preconceptions or comparisons to connect the new
material with...I just wanted a clean slate from everything else I'd worked
on and recorded before."

Session musicians were brought in to complete sections of songs, adding to
the overall experimental element of the new record. Over the past year,
gigs have always created an amazing response and expectation for the
upcoming release...but most of the time has been spent in vocal booths
and late night recording sessions.

The new album, "Very Much So Easily" is fresh and original...sparking high
levels of anticipation amongst a wide variety of listeners not only in
Australia, but those that know Luke's music around the world. The sound is
a new wave of Brit-rock, blending catchy guitar tunings and synth lines with
unique vocal melodies. The music has been affiliated with the likes of 'the
Killers', 'Oasis', 'the Strokes', 'Placebo', 'Smashing Pumpkins', 'the
Verve', 'Keane', and 'the Red Hot Chilli Peppers'.

Since it's release in early Oct, 06,"Very Much So Easily" has had increasing
overseas interest, adding to the decision to relocate to the UK...now based in
London.
