ABOUT LUCK OF THE DRAW

About Luck of the Draw
Luck of the Draw started in mid December of 2006. Quickly hitting the ground running, LOTD found themselves competing at the Richardson High School Battle of the Bands, which they won first place after only being together for a matter of weeks. It started back in March of 2006 when lead singer Benji Gershon ran into Andrew Greene, who was playing a solo guitar performance at a talent show. Following the show, Benji suggested to Andrew they start a band, but Andrew was already involved in a band called EBK. After EBK's breakup in May, after being together for 18 months, Benji suggested again to Andrew they start a band. After several months of procrastinating and doubting the functionability of such opposite tastes in music, they each decided they had nothing to lose, and decided to launch a small garage band and see where they could go with it. Andrew brought in bassist and long time friend Matt Pepe, who brought in drummer Andy Thurston. Although the band is young and trying to find it's rhythm, they have seemed to make quite a bit of headway in such a short amount of time. When required to come up with a name for the seemingly speedily upcoming battle at Richardson, the nameless group pummled through such ideas as Connect the Dots, Ace of Aces, and Ten-Go. And then through a bizarre string of inside jokes and nonsensical innuendos, the band finally chose the name Luck of the Draw.
the more battle of the bands we win, the more money we get, and the better our songs will be mixed and the more songs we will record. so please support!
