Singer/songwriter Lisa Venkatrathnam has always felt the pull of the written word and made writing an integral part of her career. But it wasn't until the last couple of years that she felt a call to write songs, which, she quickly discovered, fed a deep hunger. Lisa's lyrics have been recognized twice by the prestigious International Songwriting Competition, garnering her a spot in the semi-finals in 2006 and the finals in 2007. In 2007 she won first place in the Contemporary Christian Music Network International's lyrics-only contest, and in 2008, three of Lisa's songs placed as semi-finalists in the UK Songwriting Competition.
