Did the high school garage band thing in the sixties, playing for dances and in "battle-of-the-bands" competitions (ah, the good old days!). Went to college to get a day job, which I still have (college professor). My guitar provided therapy for me while in grad school, and is now one of my creative outlets. I'm more of a songwriter than a performer, though I do get out every once in a while. I've gotten serious enough (obviously) to see if my stuff can compete in the marketplace.
