Bio

The classic rock genre with it's feet deeply seeded in the influence of blues is as strong today as it was when it was new. Teens like a young Gregg Danton- thrashing it out in basements leading to years of endless touring in "Top 40" and "Tribute" cover bands...not much has changed in that respect....
The highpoints in what Gregg calls "his apprenticeship" were the artists he would get to play alongside;
Moon /Minglewood ,Jim Foster, Idyll Eyes, Colin James, Frank Soda, Goddo ,Paul James, ...all Canadian classic rock legends...
Coveted opening slots also came about for the likes of; Jesse Colin Young (Youngbloods), Harlequin, the late Long John Baldry and even reggae icon Burnin Spear.
Gregg Danton credits his time spent with reggae bands like Asiyah and Frank Carroll and Hit Squad as his transition from cover band to original musician.
The transition to original singer songwriter took place on the heels of those well spent days -while recouping from his battle with the big "C".
Gregg's guitar based original material, recorded with him playing all instruments but drums, can be found worldwide on blues friendly F.M. and internet broadcast playlists and has been licensed to internet T.V. and European music services.
The summer of 2007 will go down as another milestone as he was offered an opening slot for one of his fellow saxplayers and hero- Edgar Winter.
"Keep on Rockin"- Edgar and Monique Winter
