After 5 years of writing and performing in six different projects across a range of genres, Ethan made his first venture as a solo artist, with the release of 'coherent thought' - an instrumental/ambient reworking of his band Treehouses' debut album. Each of the ten songs from that album is turned on its head and re-crafted into an even more emotionally charged piece. Some of the songs are unrecognizable, with only the slightest hint of a melody or texture shared with its predecessor; but the result is a deeply contemplative collection of songs that sparkle with new skill in songwriting and production, but retain the raw vulnerability and openness that made Treehouses' debut so compelling for so many listeners worldwide.
