After 16 years of playing in other professional/semi-professional bands (with such people as Jason Newsted of Metallica, and Metal Blade/Hollywood Records recording artist Sacred Reich’s Phil Rind), Don Cross decided to start his own band in 2000 and christened it with his initials. Don wanted his new band to write and record music that encompassed many styles, and searched for other players who shared his vision. He soon met Susan Krebs; they quickly formed a bond and started working on new music. Their first album released in 2000 was called "The Susan Chronicles." The songs were a mix of thought-provoking ideas and dark, brooding acoustic and electric sounds. After adding additional musicians, they went on to record their next 2 albums that were released in 2001 and 2003. The bands quirky style was well-received. By 2005, DCP started playing out live and have performed 30+ shows in the Phoenix area. The band is working toward touring and signing with a label.
