Chris Hattingh is a singer/songwriter living in Sarasota, Florida. Chris started playing drums, and switched to guitar at age 22. After playing professionally for several years Chris enrolled at Berklee College of Music in Boston. After graduation he went out on the road with a long string of bands, some unknown and some well known. Through the years he has been featured in many magazines and newspapers, including Guitar Player, Jam, Bam, Guitar, The Natal Mercury, The Bloomington Herald, Hot Potato, Buzz, etc. Chris’s music has received airplay in California, Indiana, Florida, Germany, Finland, Brazil, Australia, South Africa and the UK.

His musical influences are many - some of the more important ones include Jimi Hendrix, Richie Blackmore, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, John McLaughlin, Al di Meola, Larry Carlton, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, George Benson, Eddie van Halen and Eric Johnson. At present Chris is focusing on writing and recording his own material. He has several solo albums available on which he plays all the instruments.
