New Star Rising

CaRissa Danielle was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in a family where getting together, singing, harmonizing, and playing music was a regular occurence.

CaRissa's grandfather, William Lee, was a member of a famous singing group "Malcolm Dodds and the Tunedrops" who did such 50s classics as "Fools Rush In" and "Beauty and the Beast Did the Rock & Roll".

CaRissa owns her production company, All Lady Productions, and is a co-owner of the Independent Record Label, StoneLady Records. The studio houses many of today's hottest software and hardware with multi-track digital sequencing at the heart of the creation. She has written and produced over 80 songs to date.

CaRissa's musical background includes influences of gospel, rock, and R&B. She sang with the Inspirational Ensemble, TFE, and Abiding Love gospel choirs as a fierce alto. CaRissa's eclectic style helps her push forward and break through the confinment that keeps many songs from reaching their ultimate potential.

Earth, Wind, and Fire, the smooth harmonies of Take Six, the soulful voice of Gladys Knight, the daring production of BJork, and the power and style of Patti Labelle are some of her influences.

CaRissa has performed her original songs at several New York clubs including Le Bar Bat, NELL'S, Club Ovations, the Red Zone, SweetWaters, The Cotton Club, and Club Savage.

She headlined a Fatback Entertainment production of "A Tribute to Phyllis Hyman" doing a show stopping rendition of Phyllis' "You Know How to Love Me". She also produced the show's powerful music tracks. She was a featured vocalist with the R&B bands "Rare Touch," "Sure Thing," and "UpFront".

In theater, CaRissa sang in the chorus and appeared on stage in The National Black Theatre's production of the award winning gospel show "The Legacy".
