INVENTING POP-IMPROVISATION
The idea to use well known songs - a cover band repertoire - as starting point for thematic improvisation was born in a bar discussion when a cover band was playing. You could label it "POP-IMPROVISATION" with the goal to explore the borderland between THE KNOWN and THE UNKNOWN. When the cover band took a break we simply walked up on stage! Project Bizjam was a fact!

The experiment with stealing the scene was a bit risky but turned out well: We wasn't kicked out from the bar, instead we where offered some more real gigs since the audience responded really well on our show. The recordings below are from one of the following evenings. We guess this concept ”trashing” well known songs and create something new give the listener en thrilling tension between the recognisable and the improvised unknown. Perhaps the odd duo format with only a singer playing piano (or organ) and a guitarist also have a power to draw attention.
