In 1981 the first month, 30th day, a star was born. The youngest of four children, Alfred Eugene Boyd, aka "Below Zero", grew up in a loving household, God fearing, artistic, and lots of music. His father played the trombone in a musical band in the 60's and 70's. Below's mother was extremely creative. Rather it was designing, or printing, you name it she could do it. His father's love for music and his mother's artistic talents linked together to form this future star. Below began putting his thoughts into rhythmic patterns around 14 years of age. People would always refer to his lyrics as being cold, which stemmed the name "Below Zero". Below Zero an extremely creative and versatile emcee specializes in storytelling with unique concepts and very diverse themes. Below is not one to shy away from letting his audience into the corridors of his heart and soul. He has climbed relentlessly and can often be found amongst elite company. In 2004 Below and a fellow rapper Trajik aided the Kansas City Chiefs and Dante Hall with Dante's new theme song 'Kick That Ball 2 Hall'. His song received massive radio play locally and was played as Dante Hall was introduced on " The David Letterman Show" and any local or national syndicated television interview. Below has also toured with several independent juggernauts which includes, Techn9ne, Kotton Mouth Kings, and Paul Wall. To date Below has released 3 albums. In 2001 he released 'Can't Stop Being Me', in 2003 'Beginning of Forever' and his newest project in 2009 'Full Circle'. Below is extremely skillful and creative, he brings a very positive artistic movement to the hip-hop community. Watch for Below as he works to climb to the top of the ladder.
