Bio

Barbies Gun started in late October 2001. Within that short period, of time Barbie’s Gun has made their website (which gets 2,000 hits a month), earned a finalist position on an International band/song competition and received a gracious sponsor from a fan to get their $150 Dollar vinyl band banner. Some places Barbies Gun has played and/or booked are Max Houstons, The Willow, The Penny Arcade, Seabreeze Firehall and “Freaks on the Creek Festival”. Barbies Gun has also achieved top ten alternative/punk band status on Broadjam.com, been song finalists on www.makeastar.com, and received and award for songwriting from Unisong International songwriting competition. Not only that but BG is in rotation on radio shows such as “The Fallout Shelter”, gotten some slick reviews, and their agent from Talent 2k is shopping their demo to both indie and major labels.

Barbie’s Gun is made up of Brian Jackson (Guitar), Dave Fortuna (Vocals, Guitar, Songwriter), Mike D. (Drums), and Bryan Perez (Bass). Some past accomplishments of it’s members are in playing for Amnesty International, Memorial Art Gallery (Millennial Muse), and Helping People with AIDS of Rochester. Dave also had past songs played on the WBSU and WBER.

Barbie’s Gun’s goals are to keep writing and performing great tunes, promote to college radio, save for recordings, and eventually make it on a major label and get great tunes out there that can help people get through their lives just like many bands before them inspired
