Bio

Victoria (toy) DeIorio combines her multiple careers to continually produce her art. With a BFA in Musical Theatre, and studying classical acting in London at RADA and LAMDA, she transitioned from the performance artistry to the technical.

Her compositions and sound design have been heard Off-Broadway: The Bluest Eye with Steppenwolf at The Duke Theatre; and Ophelia at the NYC Fringe Fest at The Connelly; as an associate at the Actor's Studio, Primary Stages, Urban Stages, and Ensemble Studio Theatre.

Regionally she has worked with The Goodman, Steppenwolf Theatre, LA Theatre Works, Milwaukee Shakespeare, First Stage, Victory Gardens, Northlight Theatre; as an associate at Milwaukee Rep, People's Light and Theatre, and Geva Theatre.

In Chicago she has designed productions with Writers' Theatre, The Next Theatre, Remy Bumppo, eclipse theatre company, Lifeline Theatre, Light Opera Works, and other smaller storefront theatres.

She has been nominated for 9 Joseph Jefferson Awards, winning Outstanding Incidental Music for The Island of Dr. Moreau; Outstanding Sound Design for The Mark of Zorro, Around the World in 80 Days and The Shadow; Best Ensemble for WRENS; and she has received 2 After Dark Awards for Fiddler on the Roof, and The Shadow.

She is the head of Sound Design at The Theatre School of DePaul University. She has produced 2 CD's of her original music with her band ToyBand. She has been the opening act for Sarah Hickman and Carrie Newcomer.
