When growling guitars echo with innocent integrity and your soul is warmed by an Indie-Pop glow, you must be experiencing Kilgore Trout.

Kilgore Trout was formed by NYC Singer/Songwriter Jeremy Gray in 2002. Enlisting the help of good friend and Bassist Jason Simon the two created the mold and sound that would be today's KT. Counting the Indie-Rock pioneers "The Pixies" as a key influence Jeremy and J sought out a voice that could balance Jeremy's edgy vocal attack with a sweet longing harmony. Lead Guitarist Miss Kim Henry (formerly of the Churchill's/ Universal) was called in to take on the task. From the first rehearsal in Ghetto Dog Studios back at KT headquarters in Jersey City, NJ the Kilgore Trout sound held a rare balance of delicacy and angst. Jeremy's emotionally ragged writing style blended perfectly with the bright pop of Kim's vocal harmonies and guitar leads creating something that is at once both bitter and beautiful.

Kilgore Trout was formed by NYC singer/songwriter Jeremy Gray, in the dawn of 2000. Enlisting the help of good friend and Bassist Jason Simon, the two created the mold and sound that would be today’s KT. Counting the Indie-Rock pioneers “The Pixies” as a key influence, Jeremy and J sought out a voice that could balance Jeremy’s edgy vocal attack with a sweet longing harmony. Enter Lead Guitarist Miss Kim Henry (formerly of the Churchill’s /Universal). From the first rehearsal in Ghetto Dog Studios back at KT headquarters in Jersey City, NJ, the Kilgore Trout sound held a rare balance of delicacy and angst. Jeremy’s emotionally ragged writing style blended perfectly with the bright pop of Kim’s vocal harmonies and guitar leads, creating something that is at once both bitter and beautiful.

Releasing their second EP Novocaine in 2004, Kilgore Trout has brought their sound to new and complex levels. Novocaine, was recorded at Peter Robinson’s Dumbo Studios, NYC (former VP A&R RCA) by Alex Smolinski of (Lola Ray/Sony) fame and mixed by sound guru John Kaplan of (The Hatters). The resultant EP features Kilgore Trout pushing their blend of edgy Indie-Pop to a higher plane. The songs are laced with melodic, angst-ridden lyrics and heavy guitars, which are smoothed out and given a pop polish by the lilting harmonies and bright leads of Kim. T
