Steve Frederic's Have We met? contains 10 self-penned tunes that have a distinctly 80's new wave feel with clever sounds and poppy songwriting. With it's hummable chorus and ringing guitars, the disc's leadoff track "What About These Things? sounds like something the cars might have released 20 years ago. The album's best cut "I Know a Girl" is a country-tinged story song with pedal steel flourishes reminicent of the Eagles.

Bio

Steve Frederic has always had a passion for music. Playing piano at a very young age, he was already playing publicly in bands and experimenting with writing by the time he was 11 years old. Trained classically as a Pianist, but interested in popular music as well, Frederic allowed his musical surroundings to influence his playing very early in his career.
He eventually picked up the guitar, studying with jazz great Howard Roberts, founder of the Guitar Insititute of Technology in California, and immediately taking to its orchestrative abilities and perfect solo readiness.
Finally earning total comfort with the guitar, Frederic realized that the next step would be to begin writing his own music, and created his freshman recording Have We Met?
