A new alternative, back to basics, the songs. Music that grows in the common ground between The
Carter Family and The Ramones 'family.'

The husband-and-wife team at the heart of speeding or shyness first performed together in a large
southwestern dance-hall band-playing western swing, conjunto, and Cajun standards. In the honky-tonks and cantinas of Far West Texas along the Mexican border, they met, fell in love, and began speeding or shyness.

Jeanne Sinclair played guitar, bass and drums in an eclectic assortment of bands in Vermont, New York City and New Orleans before landing in Texas. She's rumored to have locked herself away until mastering most of Robert Johnson.

Native-Texan Chris Cessac first learned to play in punk bands, then country bands, then bluegrass bands. He also writes, and his recent book was selected for a prestigious national award.
