Song Description

A man tries his hardest to convince the woman he loves not to walk away after an argument and declares reasons why she shouldn't to her as well as himself. Arguments include general pessimism over world situations and just being lost mentally. Luckily, the man reminds himself of some of the things about her he loves and musters up the motivation to stop her from leaving.

Story Behind the Song

Sometimes the silliest of quarrels become heated to the point where one of you decides to give up the relationship. I came close to losing the love of my life during one of those quarrels. Luckily, I was able to convince her not to leave. We've managed to stay together ever since.

Hey, hey, hey yah!
Don't Walk, Listen!

Most of us sure of what's going on
Some of us thinking that nothing's been done
We're all wondering what's wrong, what's right
All of us looking for that guiding light
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

Circles are spinning, going round and round
Nothing is lost until it's found
Look in the mirror, tell me what you see
If you see nothing, come along with me
Oh yeah, Oh yeah, yeah yeah yeah.

Don't Wak, listen!
Don't walk, listen!

Your body's wet
Your hair is wet
You smile at me
As you wrap a towel
Around yourself
I think I love you, I think I love you
I think I do
Silly me.

They say it's good to be free
From where I stand, I disagree
You're my girl, you're my girl
I want to show you my world.

My mind's made up
I want her now
She's my girl, she's my girl
She looks at me with that look in her eyes
That tells me I'm the only one
Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

Don't walk. listen!
Don't walk, listen!
