Lyrics

Big Dog Little Dog

Big dog, little dog, one in-between,
Walkin' walkin' down the Cove
With their Ilford sheen,
They're a black and white phenomenon
I'd kiss them but I don't know where they've been.
I wonder, wonder, wonder now,
Do you think they're mean...

Dog , iittle dog, one in-between,
Walking down the boardwalk
Looking like Holsteins,
And the geese who seem them passing by
Wondering who are those dominoes,
And how come they're not grey,
Grey matter, who knows?

Now this is a true story about three black and white dogs
living on Bowen Island,
And they're owner used to walk them down to the Cove
Where they'd look quite a sight, and we'd sit back
on the deck of 'The Derv" in it's glory days,
sipping on cappuccino "Island Style".
Wathching them dogs parade on by.

Now those three dogs had names
And the big one, she was a Great Dane called Gertrude,
And the middle one, that mid-sized gal, was Zelda.
And that teeny tiny one, a little boy, well, what would you call a
Teeny tiny boy monist those two big females?
SLUGGO!

Big dog, little dog, one in-between,
What is black and white to you,
A Charlie Chaplin scene?
I know one guy who says opposites,
Just like night and day.
Wonder, wonder , wonder now,
What would them dogs say....

...Dog, little dog, one in-between,
Walkin' walkin' down the Cove
With their Ilford sheen,
They're a black and white phenomenon,
I'd kiss them but I don't know where they've been,
I wonder, wonder, wonder now,
Do you think they're mean?

And I wonder, wonder, wonder now,
Do you think they're mean?

Original blues song. Very original vocal. Most original lyrics.

witty as hell with a nice groove...really like the lyrics and effects.

I like the "groove intro" Cute and funny. I think it would be great for a children's show or for a movie with a dog theme, of course.

nice made, dancing feelings

Cute song. Nice arrangment with quality instrumentation.
Liked the 'sound effects'!

I'm not an avid listener to Blues music but this is quintesential blues. Great story and I love the narrative in the song. I'd give this two thumbs up.

Quirky blues. Right up my alley. Even got some barking going on there at the end. Instrumentation is spot on and really like those horns. A classic that I will come back and visit again.
