Story Behind The Song
I wrote this to present for a Taxi submission. The submission in part was asking for a "ELECTRONICA/DANCE/HOUSE INSTRUMENTAL COMPOSER..." So when I saw the word "DANCE" I thought back to my techno club days in the late 80's and knew I would write something around that disco style octave bass line thing. I also wanted to have a really hooky melody - just a couple one for the verse and one for the chorus. I also knew I wanted it to be what I consider fast - ?135 bpm in tempo. I wanted that thumping, sweaty dancing people in a disco energy. I also created wanted to create a "you done me wrong" verse feel and melody with a "but now I'm over you" uplifting chorus vibe. Do you feel I accomplished it?
