So Carelesslly

Story Behind The Song

My father, Stephen Sasser, wrote this song sometimes in the mid 1950's. His original recording was not very high quality so I re-recorded it for the WAKE Music catalogue. My intensions for the song was for a 1950's era movie pitch so I tried to keep the original feel of the song.

Song Description

'So Carelessly' is a song about lost love and regrets. The arrangement uses chord progressions and harmonies straight out of the 1950's. Even the final mix tries to capture the recording styles used during that time period.

Lyrics

Verse 1:
So carelessly,I'm sorry to say
I've been untrue, and threw your love away
So carelessly, I've broken every rule
Needless to say, I was such a fool
Now I see - just what I've lost so carelessly

Chorus:
What would I have to do
what would I have to say
How can I prove I feel this way
If I could only find a way back to your heart
I never, would stop lovin' you

Verse 2:
So carelessly, I never thought that I
Would be the one, to set alone and cry
So carelessly, it's over now we're through
Please one more chance, to prove my love to you
Now I see - just what I've lost so carelessly

[Break]

Chorus:
What would I have to do,what would I have to say
How can I prove I feel this way
If I could only find, a way back to your heart
I never, would stop lovin' you

Now I see - just what
I've lost so carelessly
Yes, now I see - just what
I've lost so carelessly
