Story Behind The Song
This track started off as a Hans Zimmer-style orchestral piece, but turned into a fusion of emotional melodic parts with energetic dubstep drops. The title, "Monolith," came from the contrast between these two parts of the song. The emotional orchestral part makes me envision the overwhelming joy that would come from discovering an alien monolith, while the aggressive drops makes me think of the chaos that might ensue.
Song Description
This is a very eclectic instrumental song with all kinds of different influences. It has an attention grabbing electronic intro, an emotional orchestral portion, an intimidating orchestral buildup, a brutal, energetic drop that has both dubstep & trap influences, & even another "trancey" break after that.
