Song Description

The song describes the volatile protests in America today. The singer references history to illustrate the dangers of anarchy and our need, as a nation, to come together. She insinuates that these malcontents judge the past by today's standards, the crucify those long dead. She pleads to come together.

Story Behind the Song

The songwriter is sad about the current state of political affairs. She sees the senseless violence and destruction of historical statues as a precursor to wiping out the history of other cultures. She wants America to unite and come together, regardless of politics.
