Song Description

A woman continues to make the same traumatic mistakes in her relationships, and a good friend watches it all go down, not able to stop her.

Lyrics

She was chilled to the bone.
Waiting for her ride. Thought he would've been there. Or so she did confide.

I was too blind to see.

She bent down to kiss the canvas. Might have been the final round. He took off, went back to Kansas. And I stayed here in town. Picked the pieces off the ground. Saw the whole thing going down.

I was too blind to see. She would not let it be.

It wasn't long before her troubles turned a back on everything she was meant to be. She wiped the canvas clean and took a final stroke and then I knew it was part of me.

She moved on to many others. Full of hope and painted pride. She kissed a brand new canvas, or so she did imply.

Kissing the canvas (3x)
