Lyrics
Ebling?s Waltz
Sunrise it's morning, the east coat is burning a hole in my heart
it's making me feel like a part of me's dying inside
Cause I just keep thinking of sunsets at midnight, ships that are sinking, butterflies and mosquito bites.
Well that?s a quick picture of Talkeetna I know, way up in the northland that?s how the summers go.
Then there's a change in the leaves the lake starts to freeze, feathers fly south on a cool winter breeze
Then its two feet of snow and its twenty below, its chopping the wood and loading the stove. And it?s warm with the candles in the cabin at night, the sky comes alive with a show from the northern lights.
We got moose in our front yard and spruce in the back. There?s a two acre pond and a little log shack. It?s a place that is peaceful, it will always be home, when the road quits a calling and we just need some time, spent alone.
For now it?s one two three one two, and I?ll waltz out the door. I?ll be thinking about my good friends Ace and Elinore, they shared forever this beauty and open space, and down in my heart, they will always have a place.
