Story Behind The Song
This song was written in eastern NC and was a result of meeting a beautiful girl named April, on a mirror still pond on a sultry April night, with a thunder storm approaching from a distance and reflecting on the water. A magical evening.
Song Description
This song was used in a Spring Concert by the East Carolina Symphony and Childrens' Choral Ensemble. The recording was an attempt to recreate that performance in a smaller way.

Lyrics
April - Thomas Aaron Garlow - © 1971
April came with the wind in her hair
On a thunder cloud up in the morning sky
Rain drops were falling all around
And the stars brought a twinkle to April's eyes.
The time for love was in the air
And the lightning lit the sky without a sound
Her arms embraced all the world
And flowers were blooming from the ground.
April, you a queen, you're a miracle
You're everything that anyone ever needs
April you soothed my weary mind
You listened to my songs and set me free
You're everything I hear and feel and see.
April, you made my life complete
You calmed my restless wandering soul
I loved you more than you'll know
And now your gone and the weather's growing cold.
April, you're a song, your a miracle
You're everything that anyone ever needs
April you soothed my weary mind
You listened to my songs and set me free
You're everything I hear and feel and see.
April went with the wind in her hair
On a thunder cloud up in the morning sky
Rain drops were falling all around
And the stars brought a twinkle to April's eyes.
