Wrong Right From The start

Story Behind The Song

I have been writing alot of songs and trying my hand with various genres.I mainly compose classical music but from time to time I write songs which receive a good reception for both lyric and melody from those with whom I work

Song Description

This is a country song with irony.I believe it could be sung slower as a ballad and in other tempos and styles but this version id all I have done so far.It tells of a man fiding out that his wife or girlfriend has been cheating on him and he cannot continue with the relationship. It is reflective and ironic and mildly angry.More an acceptance of what is.

Lyrics

WRONG RIGHT FROM THE START
(Country and Western Song)

Verse 1
It seems to me that we?ll have to disagree
Whether I am right or I am wrong
Words that you said keep on going through my head
And I think that you?ve been stringing me along

Verse2
I?m not so sure I can trust you anymore
No, I don?t think baby really that I can
You?re spending time alone, always on the telephone
And I think you?ve found yourself another man

Chorus
I know I must be right cos all we do is fight
The only peaceful time?s when we?re apart
I should have known I ?d be better on my own
And I guess that we were wrong right from the start

Verse 3
Though it breaks my heart, I think it?s best that we should part
Give ourselves some time so we can choose
As from today I won?t stand in your way
Even though I ?ve got a lot to lose

Chorus
I know I must be right cos all we do is fight
The only peaceful time?s when we?re apart
I should have known I?d be better on my own
And I guess that we were wrong right from the start

Verse 4
If you should find that you?ve had a change of mind
Just call and say you think we should?nt part
But if it seems clear that your love aint so sincere
Then I guess I?ll have to mend my broken heart

Chorus
I know I must be right, cos all we do is fight
The only peaceful time?s when we?re apart
I should have known I?d be better on my own
And I guess that we were wrong right from the start

Repeat Chorus
I know I must be right, cos all we do is fight
The only peaceful time?s when we?re apart
I should have known I?d be better on my own
And I guess that we were wrong right from the start

And I guess that we were wrong right from the start (Repeat)
And I guess that we were wrong right from the start (Repeat)
