Story Behind The Song
I wrote this at the end of my 25 year military career, when I was just worn out and exhausted. I was tired of war and tired of giving and I just wanted to be done so I could be home.
Song Description

Lyrics
NOTHING LEFT
by J. Davis
VERSE
It's Been a long hard road
And I feel every mile
This dusty road
Has got me down
It's Been a long long time
Since I seen your face
These memories
I can't erase
Well I can't stand to see
Another mile go by me
Its never over for me
I can't get out
And I cant carry on
Feels like I'm Down for the count
The end is coming round
It's almost time
I put my feet back on the ground
CHORUS
I got nothing left to give
I got nothing left
I got nothing left to give
I got nothing left
VERSE
Always a first time
For thinking twice
And now I feel I'm past my prime
I've gotta get home
Get off this road
It's time to go
The face in the mirror
Looks like an older
Version of me
tell me
What do you see?
CHORUS
I got nothing left to give
I got nothing left
I got nothing left to give
I got nothing left
BRIDGE
I've been tested
I've been wanting
I've been tested
I've been wanting
CHORUS
I got nothing left to give
I got nothing left
I got nothing left to give
I got nothing left
