Story Behind The Song
"The Charge of the Light Brigade" was a poem I was charged with reading aloud as a sophomore in high school. It was my first taste of performance anxiety, and since has stood for anything stressful in my life. It occurs to me every now and then as a message to get something accomplished.
Song Description
A song about how the natural surroundings of my small town in Japan help me escape the troubles and tribulations back in America.

Lyrics
Genjitsu Touhi (Avoidance of Reality)
Bamboo whispers softly
Rustling breeze through sunlit leaves
Sun warms me, relish the sounds
Photos of home float through my dreams
Sun-dappled bay lies before me
The light on the water
Sweet Asian pears
My head on the straw floor
My heart in the air
Submerged Appalachia
Dissolve all my cares
The Charge of the Light Brigade
Rings through my memory
A relic from yesterday
I think "Forward the Light Brigade"
There's a past waiting back there
Don't need to ruminate today
