Sweet Harriet

Sweet Harriet

Riding Hood and The Wolf

Story Behind The Song

My guru friend, Fergie, said to me "You are worthy of truth". We all are my friend. My poet friend Lana Hechtman Ayers wrote "What Big Teeth - Red Riding Hood's Real Life" and then "A New Red". I was inspired to write this song.

Song Description

Self discovery. Trying hard to please everyone without expressing desire for self knowledge, feeling empowered and opening her eyes to the big world around her and letting go of trying so hard to do everything right. Look at others for their own potential too.

Lyrics

I'm worthy of truth you say to me.
It's bedtime redemption and praise.
What you see in me I like.
I feel a rhythm movin' in me.
I look for the light in your eyes.
I see a potential for you.
A new Red, a hungry wolf.
We all know she's hungry too.
I spent some time feeling the pain
instead of
running from
it to your arms.
The pain held no answer for me.
I stop trying so hard at everything.
What I feel when you look at me,
I can be a wolf too.

Nice simple vocal with guitar...well done, easy on the ears...the guitar is well played not over done with your vocal.
