Story Behind The Song
After a gig one night, I got invited to a house party of people who worked together and had a real nice time. It occurred to me that this sort of after work bitch session, let yourself go get-together, probably happens all the time all across the country. Good material for a song? I thought so and jotted down notes when I got in late that night. A week later this came out in one shot.

Lyrics
Brooklyn's House
We get together most Friday nights y?all
At Brooklyn?s House where the feeling?s light y?all
We talk about work and all the things we hate there
Have a few beers, don?t know where it might take ya
You can make love if the feeling strikes ya
Come on down girl don?t say I didn?t invite ya
Her daddys gone fishing on an extended vacation
We?re shooting slop in the room he calls the Nascar Nation
We might sing out of tune with Jack & Diane
Perhaps we?ll get up and dance to the Steve Miller Band
We?d love to get on board that Jet Airliner
Keep on rockin? me baby, there ain?t nothing that?s finer
Oooh baby - I been so crazy
But I don?t care, if people stare
As I run out in the street in my underwear
This could result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination
