Story Behind The Song

At a battle of the bands, we were the underdog/unkowns looking to have a good time and make a good showing. Up against heavy hitters and trash talkers, we were highly unfavored let alone even "worth talking" about. To the naysayer disappointment, we took first place and made some new enemies. It took many weeks to for the negative comments to die down, but it was all worth it. This song addresses the naysayers and the fact we're here to have a great time rockin' the set!

Written with he ska feel in mind, the reggae influenced verse expresses the upbeat and positive outlook that we are here to stay. The chorus hits the ska-driven double time telling the audience the naysayers in life are the reason we play. Any rise we can get out of them is completely indicative we're having fun!
