Story Behind The Song
I wrote this a few years after a friend killed himself. I was trying to figure out how he got to the point of giving up. I was having a discussion with him in the song. I found myself writing to him about my divorce and how I had gotten to the point of, ?Enough is enough?. I realized you could run out of second chances. In some marriages, there can be too many one more times. When you get to the very last one, you know there are no more.
Song Description
This is about reaching the last straw in a marriage. The song covers affairs, forgiveness and giving up. The song tells three different stories of husbands and wives wanting a second chance at a relationship. In each story, giving up isn?t easy for either person. The song is based on real relationships and how commitments to each other become irretrievably broken.
