Song Description

An honest heavy love song that thanks military spouses and families for their service from the soldier they love

Story Behind the Song

I wrote this song for my wife when I was getting ready to deploy while I was in a band called Deny The Flesh. The band broke up so I took the opportunity to complete the song in the vision I intended.

Lyrics

Alone in the dessert
Thinking of you
Read another letter
helps me get through
think about the moments
You're all alone
Crying and worried
I won't come home

wish I could show you
How much I love you
wish I could be there
To help you get through
count down the days
till I see you again
I need to tell you
You're the reason I live

I am honored
To be loved by you
Everything that you do
Carries me through
I am honored
For all that you give
To the red, white and blue
For this I salute

Walking off the plane
I see you there
eyes of an angel
inviting me near
No words could ever
Express how I feel
I need to tell you
You're the reason I'm here
