Story Behind The Song

It was born out of a different song me and a friend were working on. I changed up the words and the order of the parts. It was one of the first songs I ever wrote that I could play for people. I wrote it during my first semester of college. Its your basic coming of age thing where you have to take responsibility for your actions and focus on what the rest of your life is going to be about. Both are daunting, hence the need to slow down, even when other around you are cruising.
