Song Description

I had been seriously ill and was in the mood for something a bit darker, but still have that "hook". This is my attempt at acheiving that.

Story Behind the Song

Was listening to some Rolling Stones track and was in the mood to do a song about feeling sorry for myself. So, the mood was set and the style inspired.

Lyrics

I went up to the station
To meet you at the train
Imagine my frustration
When no one turned up again

Chorus:
When you're down you gotta keep down
When you're low it's best to stay low
When you're down you gotta keep down
When you're low it's best to stay low

I went down to the cafe
To buy us both a drink
I saw an empty table
What am I meant to think?

Chorus:
When you're down you gotta keep down
When you're low it's best to stay low
When you're down you gotta keep down
When you're low it's best to stay low

I went out to the jeweller
To buy a diamond ring
You know my love is unending
I'd buy you most anything
Ah, but I don't understand you
You're always out when I call
Are you trying to avoid me?
D'you think of me at all?

Chorus:
When you're down you gotta keep down
When you're low it's best to stay low
When you're down you gotta keep down
When you're low it's best to stay low...... etc....
