One hopes that love is felt by one's new lover
And that it may last..
Ah!! To avoid the "breaking of one's heart"
Is my heart is truly broken
Will my mind fall apart
Oh my heart is full of loving
But my mind laughs at my heart
Is it real love that I'm feeling
Or a game to see how far
That it was love right from the start
Yes my heart is full of loving
But my mind says "Don't you start"
but the truth just keeps on ringing
In them both my mind and in my heart
Is it real love that you're feeling
or a game that you can play
That you can make me keep on thinking
You'll never go away
Don't you ever break my heart
And I will never break your heart
Never ever break one's heart.
DON'T BREAK YOUR LOVER'S HEART
The song is pretty well written. I do like the idea. Has a very classic feel...
The song reminds of romantic songs in the 70s era of lyrics with a touch of innocence. I think it would suit being for something that goes back in time and requires music for that era. I can imagine someone on a stage in flares, perfectly ironed light-coloured suit singing on a stage.
