Story Behind The Song
I used a harmonised brass section on this song, including a tenor sax and a baritone sax backed with a clarinet, making the song turn out even better than I originally thought it would sound. I never get tired of playing or hearing this one.
Song Description
My favourite from the 'Perfect Blue' album is this soft dance-soul ballad which is about someone asking their lover to spend the night with them (but without being too graphic!)

A Little Midnight Music

VERSE ONE:
Goodbye to broken hearts, love is coming home to you
Now it?s time to play your part, you must be believe it?s true
Maybe you can show me what you feel inside
Maybe you don?t wanna know what you leave behind
I can feel desire running through my soul
Feeling like the secrets I have never told
We should get together and maybe spend some time
On what we need to do to get this love in line
CHORUS:
A little midnight music won?t do no harm
A little midnight music, you?re in my arms
A little midnight music will be OK
A little midnight music, oh won?t you stay
VERSE TWO:
It could be wonderful if we could spend tonight
In each other?s arms holding on so tight
Could I be wrong in everything I do
This love is something, don?t you feel the same way too
I?m the one you want, I?m the one you need
Will I still be the one with who you wanna be
Hold on to your heart, think of me inside
You know it?s love I feel when I close my eyes
REPEAT CHORUS
VERSE THREE: INSTRUMENTAL
REPEAT CHORUS
