Lyrics

I keep running, but I'm running out of time
I keep wishing I could make it out alive
I keep dreaming, I keep dreaming
I keep hoping, I can make it through the night.

And when I saw your blue eyes I thought you were an angel.
When I saw your blue eyes piercing through my soul
I thought you were an angel
Thought you were an angel
Thought you were an angel
Thought you were an angel

When God made you he broke the mold
With all your kindness to have and to hold
And your the best friend that I'll ever know
And I'm not worried, I'm not scared anymore

And when I saw your blue eyes I thought you were an angel
When I saw your blue eyes piercing through my soul
I thought you were an angel
I thought you were an angel
Thought you were an angel
I thought you were an angel
Thought you were an angel
I thought you were an angel

Taking the song a part and considering it piece by peace I realized that I liked it even more than I'd thought. It is a song with beautiful thoughts, beautiful words,, a love song about losing one's lover. The voice is vulnerable but the sound is strong and pleasant, and the melody is hummable and pretty. Beautiful but very sad song.
I really like the song and the way it it is sung.

The melody is great, very commercial. Strong lyric...I liked the 'blue eyes' theme linking to the angel idea. The vocal suits the song really well. The song is dynamic. I liked the introduction of the keyboard at 2.08. Shades of Tom Petty about the song.

Nice Tom Petty kinda vibe. Like the raspy quality in the vocal.

It sounds like Tom Petty or Roger McGuinn........music like the Birds. It has a cool vibe.......it interesting....GOOD JOB!

So much passion in this song. Love the lyrics, very thought provoking. I can get lost in this song. Keep on writing these wonderful songs.

we like the overall tone. the melody and mood are good. Originality is good also. reminds me of dylan or tom petty.

I wrote this new song I'm singing and I made the beat with FL Studio. Listen with headphones. This is the link: www.cdbaby.com/cd/richiesings

I think that this song needs some vocal work but i think that it has market potential.

You remind me of Bobby D

Nice instrumentation and rhythm. Vocals ok. Lyrics in verse could be better but the chorus was fine. Guitar is nice. Also like the keyboard at the end. Sounds a lot like Tom Petty!

I believe this song is very commercial. The gook is very catchy.
I dig the smooth vocals of the the singer even though he missed a note here and there but overall nice job.

This is a great rough draft but the idea needs more developing in general. The instrumentation is basic in design and gets a great platform to start refining aspects of the song. The theme in general is a great one to choose and use as a musician, the idea of relationships and love are great in market potential.

Sounds like Tom Petty

good guitar overall. nice chord change in bridge. nice hook

The vocals sounded a lot like Bob Dylan who I like a lot. I like the song a lot, and like the lyrics a lot.

The song has potential. The hook is nice, "though you were an angel"! The instrumentation is great, esp. the guitar!!

This song reminds me of Tom petty and some of the rock from the early 80's. It had a nice pace and was a very nice song. I enjoyed the song.

Good hook repetition and storytelling in the lyric.
Nice guitar background.

Nice instrumentation. This song communicates well the love of a guy for a girl....putting her on angelic pedestal. I like the "Kindness...to have and to hold" line. Nice job!

It's a pleasant country-rock ballad.
