Lyrics

The Roman soldiers made a crown
To humiliate God's only son
The Roman soldiers laughed and mocked
The Roman soldiers they drew lots

At the foot of the cross
At the foot of the cross

Mary looked right at John
Where have all the others, the others gone
That's when the hammer hit the cross
That's when I felt like all was lost

At eh foot of the cross
At the foot of the cross

At the foot of the cross where Jesus died
At the foot of the cross, at the foot of the cross.
But He arose again and now He lives on high interceding for us, for all of us
Hallelujah Jesus, Hallelujah Jesus, Hallelujah Jesus

You sound like Tom Petty when you sing. It was an awesome message, our good Lord went to the cross for us, amen, he rose again. I liked the lyrics.

Song about the last moments of Jesus's life and then the transition. The song starts out dark but ends happy.

the song has a good melody. singer puts feeling in this interpretation

good steady beat, nice message. good mix

I'm not huge into Religious music...even Rock Religious, but this has a very direct feel and passion!! The lead vocalist sounds interesting and gets the feel and lyrics across. As just a small suggestion...the composition could use a tad more variation....but still works in the confines of the song!! Good job Sir!!
Would be very interested in hearing more from this composer and maybe some different lyric themes.........

I get the intention of the song as being inspiring for religious concerns, and I appreciate that.
The overall sound of the instrumentation appears to me that you are intending to sound driven and inspired with your message. But to do that, make your instrument parts inspiring and not extravagant or trying to be extremely unique.
Thank you for the song.

This is a great song for the church, particularly during the Resurrection Sunday season, when we focus on Christ's death and resurrection. I don't know anyone else who has written a song quite like this one, talking about Mary and John and that episode in the passion of Christ. The song tells the story well and the images came to life as I listened. Love the part about the hammer hitting...how real can it get? Triumphant conclusion with the resurrection of Christ...way to go!
