Story Behind The Song
This melody was on the rebound after divorcing a previous set of lyrics. These lyrics had started as a poem and planned to stay that way. But when they met - each felt the magic and they grew to enjoy adapting to one another.

Lyrics
"Co-Starring"
Oh, oh, baby, I don't really want to be lovers with you.
You know we'd have to have fights; or we'd fall asleep. We'd make dramatic exits;
We'd be - not speaking to each other, sometimes.
You fall in love and you fall out of love and how can you run your
life around something described as falling.
I've got boxes full of love letters - and they all say forever and ever
And, Okay thanks a lot and bye.
No, what I'd really like to be is : Co-Starring You and Me.
All the world our Movie Without Camera.
A tender tale of love and truth, co-starring me and you.
And I don't think I want to be just one more guy that's just friends with you.
The trouble with friends, they move out of town, they get jobs in other cities
And then it's like, how many anytime minutes can you use.
Or there'll be somebody that you'd been seeing that you hardly ever speak of,
And then all of a sudden you're off in your own little world, the two of you.
No - what I'd really like to be is: Co-starring you and me.
All the world our Movie Without Camera
A tangled tale of love and need, Co-Starring you and me.
So you look at this two - this world-weary very modern you,
and I'm some kind of neophyte romantic.
Heartstrung - bungling out my passion. Trying to be a little smoother than I am.
You were beautiful. No, change that to "delightful"
No I mean you delight me. I mean, you inspire me.
When I say the wrong thing off you turn - like floodlights without camera.
And the air is chilled and naked where I stand.
And I'm feeling lost and feeling hurt. And. . . Cut, the director yells out.
It's a wrap.
And we'll call it a day
and I'll hear you say.(3x) I'll see you bright and early.
Oh, what I'd really like to be is: Co-Starring Me and You.
All the world our Movie Without Camera.
An epic tale of loves and truths and stuff and
Co-Starring Me and You.
