Story Behind The Song

Music given to John in the spirit the first night Prayer/Life ever met one another -- lyrics given to Andrea within a few weeks, melding our first song and the title track to our debut album.

Song Description

The juxtaposition of the missing and the promise of presence is the key irony in the song. We look around sometimes and get discouraged at the suffering of this world but can be encouraged by the promise that Christ IS here amongst us. The song addresses the double meaning of the presence in the body: what he called his body (the church), his own body that was "broken for us", and the body of the church that is broken but nevertheless is the new dwelling place of God......
